COCONUT CREEK, FL – Broward College Foundation is set to serve up its first-ever pickleball tournament, aiming to raise funds for student scholarships, educational programs, and essential resources. This exciting event will take place on Friday, Sept. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Diadem Pickleball Complex, located on the Broward College North Campus at 1000 Coconut Creek Boulevard.
The tournament promises a day filled with friendly competition and community spirit. Up to 60 teams, comprising 120 players of various skill levels, will compete in a round-robin format. This ensures everyone has a chance to play against others within their skill division. The event will feature light refreshments and culminate with an awards presentation.
The pickleball challenge coincides with Broward College’s 64th anniversary, marking a significant milestone since the college opened its doors on Sept. 6, 1960. The tournament not only celebrates this legacy but also emphasizes the college’s commitment to supporting its students.
Participation in the tournament requires a registration fee of $200 per player. Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $1,500, providing local businesses and organizations a chance to contribute to a worthy cause while gaining community exposure.
