Paddles come in a variety of materials, sizes, and prices, but experts agree that a paddle that fits well is most important. Paddles that fit tightly in your hands will help you generate more power and generate more spin of the ball. But, if the paddle is too large or too loose, you can lose control, make poor hits and hurt your game.

Wilson Sporting Goods makes some of the best pickleball paddles on the market, and our experts in the Tennis & Pickleball Lab have tested more than 100 Wilson paddles over the years. We evaluate paddles based on weight, balance, feel and grip, durability, and swing weight.

We also evaluate how well each paddle plays and checks to see how easy the paddle is to hit. These are the best pickleball paddles you can buy in 2022, according to testing and popular reviews.

Top 10 Wilson Pickleball Paddles For Every Budget

#1 WILSON Echo Energy Pickleball Paddle

The Wilson Echo Energy is one of the best entry-level paddles on the market. The frame is composite, which makes it much lighter than aluminum or graphite paddles. The resin is durable and the handles are very comfortable.

The Echo’s blade shape is somewhat similar to an “all-court” blade, which gives it an advantage over more specialized paddles. The paddle has a medium kick and is especially good for power players.

It is pretty forgiving, and beginners will be able to get good shots off this paddle. This paddle is perfect for beginners and is a great value for the price.

  • Wide Body Shape produces larger sweet spot for impressive power

The Wilson Juice is one of our favorite paddles at its price, thanks to the combination of good balance (even if beating up is your game), reasonably good stiffness, and excellent control.

It has low weight, making it a lively paddle at high speeds, and it’s relatively forgiving on off-center hits, too. It’s not quite as stiff as the Wilson Echo, which is one of the stiffest paddles on the market, but it can still take a powerful backhand shot.

If you’re wanting to play at a high level, we recommend spending a bit more money and going for a stiff paddle. But if you’re playing with friends or want to bring a paddle along on casual outings, the Wilson Juice is probably your best bet.

  • Unique camouflage design with same specifications as in-line Echo
  • PolyCore – X features polypropylene honeycomb core that dampens vibrations for superior feel on...

At $85, the Wilson Echo CAMO Pickleball Paddle is one of the more affordable choices. But it has many of the features of the more expensive paddles, including the excellent feel and wide sweet spot. The head is softer than the rest of the paddle, which means you can hit balls with a bit more power.

The paddle is also surprisingly lightweight, weighing 8 ounces, which is less than most full-size paddles. The paddle is thicker than most paddles, but it feels more sturdy than most others.  It’s also great for left-handed players, who have less flexibility than right-handers, and the extended handle is great for two-handed backhand shots.

The Wilson Echo CAMO Pickleball Paddle is a good value. We gave it 5 stars, which is our highest rating, but higher-rated paddles probably offer slightly more performance.

The paddle is responsive and digs well, and it’s solid enough to withstand frequent play. We liked that the paddle has so much variety and control with the long shape. Also, the paddle comes in a variety of colors, so you can pick one that matches your court or team colors.

When it comes to playing pickleball, the quality of a paddle can make or break your enjoyment of the game. “The best paddle for one player might not be the best paddle for another,” says pickleball player, author, and instructor Jim Port.

As with racquets, many factors play into choosing a paddle—including your style of play, your skill level, and your general preferences. The Wilson Juice Carbon is endorsed by pickleball legend and four-time U.S. Open champion Billie Jean King, who won 64 consecutive matches with the paddle.

A paddle’s shape, weight, feel, balance, and stiffness are considerations as well. The Juice Carbon is both flexible and stiff enough to handle hard strokes, but its lightweight construction makes it feel and play more like a racquet than a paddle.

The added thickness of Wilson’s flexible bumper guard combined with the firm, durable face material make this paddle a great option for experienced players, as well.

  • PolyCore–X features polypropylene honeycomb core that dampens vibrations for superior feel on...

The Wilson Echo Carbon is an excellent pick if you want a paddle that’s easy to grip and feels balanced in your hand. In addition to its classic shape, the Echo Carbon’s face is constructed from a blend of carbon fiber and polypropylene that’s supposed to dampen vibration and provide more control.

The paddle’s shaft is 30 percent larger than the typical paddle, giving you more “grip” on the shaft of your racket. The Echo Carbon is lightweight, too, and Wilson claimed it weighs about 7 ounces, which is less than most paddles of similar size.

We also liked the adjustable throat on the Echo Carbon, which lets players position the handle at their preferred height. The paddle also has a shock stop bumper guard that Wilson said prevents damage from dings and scrapes.

The Echo Carbon earned an average rating of 3.3 out of five on Amazon, with 60% of reviewers giving it a 4 or 5-star rating.

The Wilson Echo paddle has thinner, softer handles, plus some new tech features, making it a great paddle for intermediate players, whether they’re new to pickleball or are improving their skills.

It has the PolyCore-X technology, with a polypropylene honeycomb core that dampens vibration, plus a 2.0 carbon-fiber composite that provides “outstanding balance, responsiveness, and shot depth.”

The paddle weighs 8.5 ounces, which is on the heavier side for pickleball paddles. The paddle also features the third generation of Wilson’s Clear Spin TCH, which combines “a unique pattern on the paddle surface with durable polyurethane for a spin and extended durability.”

The paddle has a 5.5-inch handle, which is long enough for most players. The shorter handle provides an easier two-handed backhand grip. Wilson uses their Shock Stop Dampening Bumper Guard to protect the edge of the paddle against abrasions, and the extended throat on the handle provides an easier two-handed backhand grip. It’s comfortable to hold, and the paddle feels good in your hands.
