 Pickleball is a sport that combines aspects from many other sports.  It is played on a court with a net, using paddles to hit the ball over the net.  Pickleball was invented in 1965 by Joel Pritchard and William Bell in West Seattle’s Fauntleroy neighborhood.

The game has grown in popularity since its introduction, and now there are even professional tournaments involving pickleball players from around the world.  There are also some opportunities for sponsorship of pickleball players.

Is Pickleball a Professional Sport?

Pickleball has a large following of professional players and some opportunities for sponsorship.  It is even being considered an Olympic sport.  The game is popular around the world.  Courses are being added to parks around the United States, and there are even professional training facilities.
